Thanksgiving & Toy Dance

Happy Thanksgiving Y’all!

I hope everyone has had a great day spending time with loved ones or enjoying the freedom to do whatever it is you choose. For me and my family Thanksgiving is a time for us to break away from our busy schedules and take some time to enjoy being with each other while reflecting on what we have accomplished over the last year. It is also a time when we are able to sit back really think about how lucky we are to have each other and most of the things we want. We really hope you were able to do the same.

I want to remind everyone that the Ben Hur Shrine is graciously hosting a toy dance for us again this year. It will be held this Saturday at the Ben Hur Shrine from 7-11 PM. Admission is $10 or one unwrapped toy valued at $10 or more. This year some of the more popular gifts kids are asking for are: Legos, Books, Dolls, Basketballs, Footballs, Hair Ties/Bows, Hot Wheels, Jewelry/Jewelry making, Purses, Remote Control Cars, and Soccer balls.

Ben Hur Shrine donates 100% of the toys and admission fees directly to Solomon Lodge for our Masonic Santa Program. PLEASE come out and support us at this event! If you have any questions please contact our Senior Deacon RS3 (Robert Schier III) by email a . If you can not reach him you can email our Junior Stewart Paul Pennington at They are both very responsive to email.
