Solomon Masonic Lodge #484 has been for involved and active within the the Taylor, Hutto, and Granger communities for over 100 years. We do this in many ways but by far the most visible are our Masonic Santa and Scholarship Programs. We take great pride in is our Masonic Santa Program that provides Christmas gifts, meals, and activities for local children and their families. While our Howard Oliphint Memorial Scholarships give deserving high school seniors in our area a hand getting settled into their first year in higher education. Whatever that looks like for then be it at the university, junior college, or trade school level we believe all higher education has value. These two programs have helped make our communities better. We are able to facilitate these great programs through generous donations, from our members, businesses, organizations, and individuals thought the community. We are extremely thankful to all who have supported us in these efforts over the years and continue to do so.
We also have give awards to people within the community who do an outstanding job, whether it is through education, community out reach or some other means. Masonry and Education go hand in hand. Most of the original lodges in Texas were two story buildings with a school room on the first floor and the lodge in the second floor. We take great pride in our rich history, but realize that it is today that will affect tomorrow.
