Thank you for coming to our meeting last night and bringing your wives to the meal. To all who have served this year, thank you for your commitment and dedication to Solomon Lodge and the Brethren. Each person is a vital part of the fabric that holds us together. Special congratulations to both our elected and appointed officer, you volunteering to serve this lodge means we not only have brothers for today but also future years.
Installation for the 2014-2015 Masonic year will be held on July 12, 2014, at 11:00 A.M., at Solomon Masonic Lodge #484 with a meal following. We look forward to seeing family, friends, visiting brethren, and our members at this special moment. It is a moment when we pause yearly to celebrate those who have served and also embrace those who will be serving.
We have a great lodge with a rich history of serving the communities of Granger, Hutto, and Taylor. History is a reflection upon yesterday, but today we are making history for tomorrow. It is with this thought, that my year will be focused upon Faith, Hope and Charity.
For our July Stated Meeting we will have books containing messages from myself, the Senior and Junior Wardens elect, a budget, committees, and the lodge bylaws. This will allow the brethren to look at the books for one month before our August meeting and have a chance to evaluate the proposed budget. I will be sending out a list of the committee chairmen and asking them to put a team together shortly. If you see a committee, in which you have an interest, please let the chairman know.
Our lodge is only as good as the communication between us. Each of us come from different backgrounds, education, and walks of life. It is the ideas of each of us that will determine the future. If you see something that can be done better, have a new idea, or would like to take something over, please let me know. We need not only ideas but also Brothers to plan, nurture, institute, and guide these ideas.
Below is a list of the elected and appointed officers.
